Smother Fucker
02:36
|
|||
Leather-bound babies in a brown paper bag
Waiting for people looking so like I.
Beating the brass ring, meeting the quota.
No more boundaries augmented!
The lights are repentant, undone!
Separating your face from the photograph
In hopes of forgetting you before
I arrive, to stay alive.
I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR BEING SO GOOD TO ME!
Pump the brakes, let me off this train.
I can't seem to clean you from my pallet.
Let me forget...

Goldfish Tree
02:24
|
|||
Aquamarine plant life
Has, over time, grown
Into a mysterious decoration
For the place I very briefly called "Home."
Some say "old" and some say "gold."
Angelic relics will go unknown.
Over here, it will never grow.
So it begins, rowing in rows!
Goldfish swim in the leaves,
Branches act as their bowl.
Bubbles flitter invisibly.
This memory is one I'll always hold.
Across the ocean
Is a tree I may never see
Again. But I know it like an old friend.
This natural oddity swings in the breeze,
And only appears once.
I will cherish the corner of my mind which holds
The swaying photograph.
So I'll never grow old.

A Battling Brook
01:36
|
|||
I'm toxic and I'm talk-sick
I'm toxic and I'm talk-sick.
This battling brook has no end in sight that I see.
But, then again, that's never been up to me.
THEY'LL NEVER TAKE US ALIVE!
They've entitled us to provide!
THEY'LL NEVER TAKE US ALIVE!
(No, they'll never! No they'll never!)

Star Canvas

Your lips look like lullabies.
What I wouldn't do to have them magnetized to mine.
I've never seen one of your kind kind.
The stars come down from the sky!
Painting self portraits, I know I
Wouldn't mind seeing a few.
I want to know more.
I want to know more, more and more.
Your cosmic glow lets me know
That things aren't as murky as they seem.
The stars are the only thing
That even comes close to the beauty for which I sing.
Color me enchanted!
I want to know more.
I want to know more, more and more.
I want more and more, more.
I want more's amore.
Your eyes look like lullabies.
Oh, the chills that travel when they're magnetized to mine.
Your constellation is on my mind.
The stars, so bright they could blind,
Appear to be a sign of uncertain outcome.
